Delicious dark exotic combination, and no sugar or any other kind of sweetener added.
Ingredients for one small jar:
4 big ripen figs
half cup dark sweet cherries
Wash and cut the figs in chunks. Take the pits out of the cherries and place the cherrries in half in a pot together with the figs. Add a bit of water, not as much as to cover them, maybe about one cup water.
Bring to boil. Simmer uncovered on low heat stirring every few minutes, making sure it doesn’t stick to the pan. Simmer until it has become a thick sticky paste, about half hour or more.
Place in a jar right away, hot. Close the jar – this will keep it longer.
Because no sugar is added, this jam will only keep for about 1 month in the fridge.
